Funeral services for Olga Lee Hefner Witt, 79, of Warren, Texas, were held Monday, July 15, at 11 a.m. at the Riley Funeral Home Chapel with Brother W. A. Hornberger officiating. Burial followed at Allison Cemetery in Warren. Visitation was held Sunday at the funeral home.

Mrs. Witt passed away July 11, 2002, at her residence. Born December 29, 1922 in Hereford, to James Columbus and Alma Naomi Reid Hefner she lived in Warren for seventeen years. She was a retired librarian for the Splendora School District and a member of Bethel Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, son, Donnie Wayne Witt; brothers, James Hefner and Larry Hefner; sisters, Wilsie Balkum and Wanda Dufour.

She is survived by her husband of 59 years, Gene Paul Witt; daughters, Genoyce Bell and husband, Eugene of Warren, Becky Willson and husband, James of Humble and Carolyn Garza and husband Norberto of Splendora; brothers, Bob Hefner and wife, Fefa of Coleman, Giv Hefner and wife, Dorothy of Troup and Wayne Hefner of Coleman; sisters, Charlene Cumbo of Victoria, Donna Wagner of Cross Plains and Jackie Hefner of Abilene; grandchildren, Chris Bell and wife, Mandy of Splendora, Treacy Dumas and husband, Lynn of Splendora, Sarah Atkinson and husband, Kris of Cleveland, Carey Willson of Humble, Joe Willson of Humble and Jamie Willson of Humble; five great-grandchildren and a blessing on the way; numerous nieces, nephews and friends. Serving as pallbearers were Richard L. Dumas, Jr., Joe P. Willson, James C. Willson, Kris Atkinson, Chris Bell, Birdy Garza, and Eugene Bell.
