Formerly of Warwick, N.Y., Mary Knapp, a retired worker in the meter department of Orange and Rockland Utilities in Monroe, passed away on Thursday, December 26, 2002 at the home of her niece in Guilford. She was 91.

The daughter of the late Ernest Withers and Bessie Loring, she was born on May 5, 1911 in Goshen. She was the widow of John Knapp.

Mary was a member of OES Chapter 163.

She is survived by her sister, Viola Hull of Warwick; five stepsisters and two stepbrothers; one niece, Elaine Pikul of
Guilford; one nephew, The Rev. Dennis O'Brien of Sacramento, Pa.; four great-nieces; four great-nephews; twelve great-great-nieces and seven great-great-nephews.

She was predeceased by her sister Ruth O'Brien.

Private funeral services were held at Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, 17 Oakland Ave., Warwick.

Burial was in Florida Cemetery, Florida.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to American Heart Fund or a favorite charity of one's choice.

Arrangements were made by Lazear-Smith & Vander Plaat Memorial Home, Warwick.
