RICHMOND, Va. - Irma Jean Adams, 63, of 5005 Old Midlothian Turnpike, Richmond, died Saturday, March 18, 2006 at her residence.
Born March 31, 1942, in Pittsylvania County, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Mamie Crews Witcher.
She was a member of Temple of God in Christ Christian Church in Richmond.
She was married to James Adams.
In addition to her husband, of the residence, she is survived by one daughter, Alicia Powell of Gaston, N.C.; one son, James Adams of Richmond; one sister, Geraldine Shearin of Richmond; three brothers, Herbert Jr. Witcher and Archie Witcher, both of Richmond and Elwood Witcher of Hurt; and three grandchildren.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, March 25 at Miller Funeral Home Chapel with Pastor Johnnie Benjamin officiating. Interment will be in Elba Cemetery.
Viewing and visitation will be from 4 to 7 p.m. Friday at Miller Funeral Home.
The family is at the residence of a brother, Elwood Witcher, 5789 Renan Rd., Hurt.
Miller Funeral Home, Gretna is in charge of arrangements.
