SUNBURY — Irene B. Graboski, 82, a resident of ManorCare Nursing Home for 11 years, formerly of 1633 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township, ended her journey on the evening of Friday, Sept. 3, 2010, at the nursing home.

Born in Shamokin on Dec. 4, 1927, she was a daughter of the late Francis and Josephine (Zdanciwicz) Wisneski.

Irene worked for Morris Fishman, Arrow Shirt Company and Springfield Sportswear as a presser, and for Weis Markets Bakery.

On June 1, 1946, she was married in St. Stanislaus Church, Shamokin, by the Rev. Ambrose Wales to Stanley Graboski, who died Aug. 29, 1968.

She was a member of Mother Cabrini Church, Shamokin.

Irene was a former president of East End Fire Company Women's Auxiliary and former treasurer of the Lithuanian Club Women's Auxiliary.

She was lovingly known as "Chuchi" and "Nana" by everyone who loved her. She was a great cook, loved her pets and most of all, loved her family. Her eyes would light up each time her family would visit. She was always smiling and will be missed by all.

Survivors include four children, Rose and her husband, Robert Palovich, Coal Township; Elaine and her husband, Gregory Wysock, Overlook; Stanley and his wife, Karen, Shamokin, and Frank and his wife, Sharon, Coal Township; grandchildren, Denise Strouse and her husband, Leon "Skip," Robert J. Palovich, Nichole Tindell and her husband, Scott, Jolene Wysock, Sarah Wysock, Jackie Wysock, Kari Costa and her husband, Paul, Janene Shipe and her husband, Donnie, Kristen Graboski and her fiance, Shawn Hine, Lauren Zimmerman and her husband, Chris, and Stephanie Graboski; great-grandchildren, Erienne Strouse, Sarah Strouse, Sullivan Tindell, Oliver Tindell, Brent Costa, Ryan Costa, Jadyn Shipe, Jace Shipe, and Dalila Shipe; two step-great-grandchildren, Autumn Costa and Jeannette Costa; and one sister, Josephine Wargo, Marion Heights.

In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a sister in infancy, Frances Wisneski; a sister, Eleanor Cheslock; two brothers, John and Frank Wisneski; an infant daughter, Judy Graboski and an infant great-granddaughter, Kendall Strouse.

GRABOSKI — Irene B. Graboski, 82, a resident of ManorCare Nursing Home, Sunbury, formerly of 1633 Pulaski Ave., Coal Township. Funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Wednesday in Leonard J. Lucas Funeral Home Ltd., Leonard J. Lucas, supervisor, 120 S. Market St., Shamokin. Burial will be in St. Stanislaus Cemetery, Coal Township. Viewing will be held from 7 to 9 p.m. Tuesday, with a Christian vigil service at 8 p.m., and from 9 a.m. Thursday until time of the services in the funeral home. A family viewing will be held at 6:15 p.m. Tuesday.
