WASHINGTON — Brett Lane Wirey, 37, died Saturday, Aug. 14, 2004, in Greensburg.
He was a draftsman for Midwest Engineers and a member of Christ United Methodist Church.
Surviving are two sons, Justin and Josh; his parents, Rick and Malinda Wirey; two brothers, Rich and Mark; and grandparents, Newton and Ermal Thompson and Gerald and Norma Wirey.
Services 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel, burial in Walnut Hill Cemetery in Petersburg. Visitation is 4 to 8 p.m. today and from 9 a.m. to service time.

Brett Lane Wirey
Brett Lane Wirey, 37, 1202 N.E. Second St., died at 9:15 a.m. Saturday, in Greensburg.
Born Nov. 4, 1966, in Knox County, he was the son of Rick A. and Malinda L. (Thompson) Wirey.
A draftsman, he was employed at Midwest Engineers in Loogootee. He graduated from Washington High School in 1985 and from Vincennes University with a drafting degree. He was affiliated with the Christ United Methodist Church.
He is survived by his parents; sons Justin and Josh Wirey, Washington; brothers, Rich Wirey of Durango County and Mark Wirey of Washington; a niece Kristen Wirey of Washington and a nephew, Dale Wirey of Washington.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents Newton and Ermal Thompson and Gerald and Norma Wirey.
Funeral services are at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday at Gill Chapel with the Rev. Scott Johnson officiating. Burial will be in Walnut Hill Cemetery.
Visitation is from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. today at Gill Chapel and after 9 a.m. Tuesday.
