Funeral services will be held at the Assembly of God Church at 2 o’clock Friday afternoon for Mrs. J. M. Plemons, 84, who died early Thursday morning, following a long illness. Rev. W. F. Farmer, pastor, will officiate.
Mrs. Plemons was born Sarah Arizona, at Mena, Polk County, Arkansas, January, 3 1863. She married J. M. Plemons on April I3, 1884, to which union eight children were born, of whom four survive.
The Plemons family moved to the Indian Territory in 1900, and settled in McIntosh County 31 years ago.
Survivors include the husband, J. M. Plemons, three daughters, Mrs. T. C. Ritchie and Mrs. J. O. Chronister of Checotah, and Mrs. John Workman of Bell Garden, Calif., and one son. Will, of Seminole, Okla; 23 grandchildren and one great grandchild.
Burial will be made in Greenlawn Cemetery.
