Mildred B. (Meyer) Winstead, the daughter of William and Louise (Bredensteiner) Meyer was born on May 6, 1917 in Westboro, Missouri. She attended country school and Westboro High School.

Mildred was united in marriage to Ralph D. Winstead on December 27, 1933, in Bolivar, Missouri. They resided in the Westboro community the majority of their married life. Mildred was a homemaker and bookkeeper for the family business. Upon Ralph's passing in 1970, Mildred began working at Woolworth's Department Store in Shenandoah, Iowa, as a clerk and cashier until her retirement. She made her home in Westboro, and was a member of the Westboro United Methodist Church. Mildred passed away Thursday, May 12, 2011, at Tarkio Rehabilitation and Health Care in Tarkio, Missouri, at the age of 94 years.

Mildred was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ralph; son, R. Wayne Winstead; daughters, M. Colleen Choate and Barbara Hamilton; sisters, Alma Lefforge, Minnie Lewis; grandchildren, Kim, John and Curtis Hamilton and Doug Quimby. She is survived by daughters, Sandra Henning and her husband, Virgil, Tarkio, Connie Quimby and friend, Joe Craven, Tarkio; son, Terry Winstead and his wife, Julie, Westboro; numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren and great, great-grandchildren; daughter-in-law, Bonnie Winstead; son-in-law, John Hamilton; and nieces and nephews.

Services: 11:00 a.m., Monday, May 16, 2011, Westboro United Methodist Church, Westboro.
Interment: Center Grove Cemetery, Westboro.
