Virginia is the daughter of James Henry Wilson and Frances Cordelia Sanders. She was born in Georgia and is a sister to Vern, Tussie and Cordelia J Wilson.

She grew up in Ravalli county, Montana where her father farmed. Virginia married George Johnson. It is not known whether they have children. Nor is it known when they came to NC.

Virginia came to the asylum in 1929 from Haywood county, NC and was hospitalized 29 days before her death of chronic myocarditis and dementia praecox (schizophrenia).

Her father's and husband's names are given on the death certificate.
