Many of our people were much surprised this week by the news of the death of "Clem" Wilson, as he was generally known. He died at Davenport Monday evening in the prime of life. He was a mason and worked at his trade up to a few weeks ago. His lungs, heart and stomach were, all involved in a serious illness that came, gradually at first, but which of late increased rapidly. A trip to Iowa City a month ago gave little encouragement. A week ago, he went to Davenport for treatment, but too late Mr. Wilson was born in Oakland, Illinois October 24, 1880 but has been a resident of Traer since 1901 except a few years spent in Oregon. On November 19, 1903 he married Miss Cora Roberts of Greene, Iowa, four children have been born to the couple, three of whom are living — Clifford, Raymond and Eva. There are also left to mourn beside the wife and children, his mother, Mrs. Lavina Wilson, of Tulsa, Oklahoma; his brothers Claude and Clarence, of Traer; a brother, Carson of Tulsa, Oklahoma. Deceased was an expert tradesman and has been doing well of late. The funeral was held yesterday from the late home and was conducted by Rev. Billingsley. Interment was in Buckingham cemetery.
