KAYSVILLE--Alice Williams Barton, beloved mother and grandmother, passed away in Bountiful, Utah, October 8, 1996.

Born April 12, 1902 in Kaysville, Utah, to Bertha Cotterell and Orton A. Williams. Married William C. Barton in Kaysville, June 14, 1922. Marriage was solemnized in the Salt Lake Temple. Preceded in death by her husband and her son, William K. Barton.

Alice was a devoted member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and wrote many histories of Kaysville and the pioneers of the area. She leaves a great legacy of family history and temple work. She retired from Mountain Bell Telephone Company after many years of service. She was a member of the Kaysville Lantern Club.

Alice is survived by one son, Paul W. Barton and his wife, Janice, of Bountiful; a daughter-in-law, Charlotte Saxon, of Clinton; 10 grandchildren, 24 great-grandchildren and one great great-grandchild.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, October 12, 1996 at the Kaysville Lindquist Mortuary Chapel, 400 North Main, Kaysville. Friends may call Friday evening from 6-8 p.m. Interment, Kaysville City Cemetery.
