ARMSTRONG, MARTHA W. Suddenly, on Sunday, November 22, 1953, in Kent, Conn., MARTHA W. ARMSTRONG, beloved wife of William H. Armstrong and mother of Christopher F., David Barry and Mary Anderson Armstrong, and daughter of Walter A. Williams, and sister of W. Anderson Williams, Mrs. Rose W. Buckingham and Mrs. Constance B. Allnutt. Remains resting at the Colonial Funeral Home of Robert A. Pumphrey, Rockville, Md.. Graveside services Friday, November 27, at 2 pm, in Rockville Union Cemetery.

Mrs. William H. Armstrong, 43, former dramatics teacher and Rockville (Md.) native, died Sunday at her home in Kent, Conn.
Mrs. Armstrong was the former Martha Stonestreet Williams, daughter of Walter A. and the late Barry A. Williams of Rockville.
She was a 1929 graduate of Stuart Hall, Staunton, Va. Later she attended the Leland Powers School of Dramatics and Art, Boston, and the American Academy of Dramatic Arts in New York.
For several years, she taught diction at a private dramatics school here and later she returned to Stuart Hall as dramatics instructor.
She was married in 1942 to Mr. Armstrong, who is a member of the faculty of the Kent School in Kent. Mrs. Armstrong was active in the affairs of the St. Andrews Episcopal Church in Kent.
In addition to her father and husband, she is survived by three children, Christopher, 8; David Barry, 6, and Mary Anderson, 4; a brother, W. Anderson Williams of Pittsfield, Mass., and two sister, Mrs. Richard G. Buckingham of 522 West Montgomery avenue, Rockville, and Mrs. John C. Allnutt of 223 Great Falls road, Rockville.
Funeral services were held at St. Andrews in Kent on Tuesday. She was to be buried at 2 o’clock this afternoon in the Rockville Union Cemetery.
