Aris Marcille Williams Marre, 99, passed away peacefully surrounded by loved ones on April 26, 2013 at Arkansas Hospice following a stroke.

She was born in Enola on January 28, 1914 to Lysander and Artie Gore Williams. She moved to North Little Rock as a young child. Aris graduated from North Little Rock High School, and worked for the US Department of Agriculture in Washington, D.C. and Little Rock.

She was a member of the First Presbyterian Church of North Little Rock, a 50-year member of the Order of the Eastern Star Florence Chapter NLR, and a member of the Elk's Ladies Auxiliary. Aris attended many events at the Shepherd Center in NLR, and took art, piano, dance and computer classes.

She was preceded in death by her parents, her husband, John B. Marre, Jr.; brothers, John Arnold Williams of NLR and Sanner Arvil Williams of Memphis; and her sisters, Ardell Taylor of NLR and Arlis "Honey" Mozart of San Jose, CA.

She is survived by nieces, Jennifer Ranney of Exeter, CA, Deidra Vance of Visalia, CA and Dolores Robertson of Melbourne, AR; nephew, Virgil Williams of Corinth, MS; and many great nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, May 18 at North Little Rock Funeral Home, a Smith Family Funeral Home.

The family will receive friends at 1:00 pm Saturday at the funeral home.

The family has requested donations be made to Arkansas Hospice, 14 Parkstone Circle, North Little Rock, AR
