Lifelong Colorado- an, Idris Elisabeth Frickell , 87, died No- vember 13, 2007 of natural causes, sur- rounded by family and friends. A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, November 17th at Grace Covenant Church, 10101 W. Mississippi Ave. Idris was born June 22, 1920 in Denver to David and Adah Williams. She and Ruben Frickell were married and raised their family in the Denver area. Idris worked in several medical offices, including Dr. Leonard Swigert's. She finished her working career with the Dept. of Treasury. She was an accomplished needle work craftsman and loved making items for her family and friends. She was recently working on sweaters for donation to needy children. She loved music and in her younger years she played the piano and sang in the church choir. Her faith was extremely important to her throughout her life and gave her much comfort, as well many friends to enrich her. She is survived by her loved ones including: her sons, Rudy and his wife Linda of Littleton; Dan of Seattle, WA; Gary and his wife Gail of Westcliffe, CO; Tom and his wife Ronda of Littleton; her daughter, Jaime Leann Caitlyn (Sherrie Frickell ) of Anchorage, AK; her sister, Shadine and her husband Bob Manzer; as well as 2 nieces, 1 nephew and several grandchildren; family friends, Joan Lavery of Chicago, and her friends at Grace Covenant. In accordance with her wishes, she will be cremated. Inurnment will be at Ft. Logan National Cemetery. Donations may be made to Grace Covenant Church.
