Orpha Maud (Williams) Echternacht, the daughter of Russell H. Williams and Emma J. (Kelsey) Williams, was born in Cherry Grove Township, Goodhue County, Minnesota, on May 4, 1878. She had two sisters and one brother (who died in infancy). In 1897, Russell Williams and the family moved to Owatonna, Minnesota and five years later moved to the State of Colorado. On June 30, 1907, Orpha Maud Williams married Harry Philip Echternacht in Genoa, Lincoln County, Colorado at the Russell Williams Family home. The new couple made their home in Genoa, Colorado. While living in Genoa, Harry and Orpha Echternacht had three children, Stanley Edwin Echternacht, born March 13, 1908, Carol Mae, born February 12, 1912, and Ramona Beatrice, born January 31, 1915. In 1929 (?), the family moved to the Los Angeles County, California area. Orpha Echternacht died on August 3, 1950 at Patton, San Bernadino County, California, and was interred in the Inglewood Park Cemetery, Los Angeles County, California.
