Memorial service: 2 p.m. Wednesday in Laurel Land of Fort Worth's Chapel of Chimes. Visitation: The family will receive friends 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the funeral home.
Nelda was born Oct. 18, 1929, to Homer and Clara Williams of Cleburne. She graduated from Burleson High School as class valedictorian. She met her future husband, Jack E. Barrow, while working at her first job at Fort Worth National Bank. During her banking career, she worked at Tarrant State Bank, Central Bank and Trust and F&M Bank. She retired from Alcon Laboratories, where she worked in the research and development department.
Nelda was a loving mother, grandmother and friend. She enjoyed reading, baking and spending time with her longtime companion, Red Weinberg. Her three grandchildren were very precious to her. She gave unselfishly of her love and time to those she loved and will be greatly missed by all.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack E. Barrow; a daughter, Sharon Barrow; and her sister, Peggy Poteet.
Survivors: Daughters, Becky Ferruggia and husband, Tommy, and Jana Murray and her husband, Robert; son, Bradley Barrow, all of Crowley; grandchildren, Angela Mitchell and husband, Jeff, Kristina Ferruggia and Dillon Ferruggia; and special companion and friend, Morris Weinberg.
