She was born in Blakesburg on May 6, 1892, the daughter of Soda and Samantha Cloyed Williams. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, when in Albia, of the American Legion Auxiliary, a 50-year member of Eastern Star and was Mother Advisor for the Order, Of Rainbow .
On Oct. 22, 1913, she married Jerry C. Githens .
The couple owned Githens Gem Shop here for several years and then moved to California. They returned to Albia and opened another jewelry store.
Grace was preceded in death by her husband Jerry (in 1974) and by two brothers; Bert, and Mayo and one sister Helen Snow.
She is survived by one sister, Elma Keho.
The funeral was at the Randolph Funeral Home in Allerton with Ross Blount officiating.
Burial in the Allerton Cemetery.
