Sharon Faye Brown
Corpus Christi, TX
On the early morning of August 12, 2013, Sharon passed away at a local hospital in Corpus Christi, Texas. Sharon was comforted by family members at the time of her passing. Sharon was 46 years old. Sharon was born May 15, 1967 in Corpus Christi, Texas. She was the first child of three. Sharon was a 'gifted' child. As a young child she was often called 'Cha-lie' like Charlie Brown. She was a popular child and very involved in school activities during her school years. She was most proud to be a 'Safety Patrol' in elementary school. As she entered into high school she joined numerous organizations. There were two activities that gave Sharon so much joy and it was the 'BAND' and Theatre Arts. She played her heart out in the band. She made beautiful music with the FLUTE. She carried that flute everywhere!! Her favorite song to play on the flute was 'Grove Tonight' by the Gap Band. Sharon was also the little actress. She could light up a stage with her performances. Sharon's high school days at Roy Miller High School provided her with many joyous memories. However her greatest decision was to give her life to Christ. She accepted Jesus Christ as her Savior under Reverend W. M Jamison at Brooks Chapel A.M.E Church. She later moved her membership to St. Mark A.M.E Church under the Reverend J.N Ferrell and Reverend James Smith. As she entered young adulthood she attended Del Mar College. Sharon was always a hard worker. She was employed at the Corpus Christi State School as a Coordinator. She eventually retired from the state. One of Sharon's happiest times in her life was meeting and marring her love Wendell C Brown. To this union two boys were born. She loved her husband dearly. Sharon adored her 'Andy-Drew' and 'Bam' also known as their 'little angels' by their dad. She put all her energies into raising her boys. Then along came Ashley and Darius her niece and nephew that she and her husband 'adopted' as their children. Sharon was such a loving and giving person. She had a big heart and would help anyone if she could. She enjoyed reading. She loved her cat Maxine, and dogs Samantha and Tyson. Most importantly she loved all her family, in laws, extended family, and friends.

Sharon Brown was preceded in death by Wendell C Brown (Husband), Leona Johnson (maternal grandmother), Sylvester Harris Sr. (maternal grandfather), Christopher Bouldin (Brother in law), Louise Williams (paternal grandmother), and Sylvester Harris Jr. (uncle).

Sharon Brown is survived by her children Andrew Brown & Brandon (Brenda Vela) Brown, granddaughter Malayah Faye Brown, parents Mr.& Mrs. Alfred & Faye Williams, Mrs. Jacqueline Bouldin (sister), Mr. & Mrs. Alfred Jr. & (Tracy) Williams (brother), Mrs. Mary Brown (mother in law), Ashley & Darius Bouldin, Mason & Darren Williams, (nieces/nephews) Lee Andrew Harris (Lucy) uncle, Geraldine Woods (great aunt) and a host of uncles, aunts, cousins, friends and extended family.
