Charles Etta Henderson passed away on Wednesday July 30, 2008 with her loving family by her side. She was 60. She was born in Corpus Christi on January 20, 1948 to James & Fannie Williams. She was a loving & devoted mother, grandmother, sister, aunt & friend. She will be dearly missed by all. She was a teacher at West Oso Elementary School, where her children were her passion for teaching. She is preceded in death by her parents, grandparents, Arelia Douglas, Sr. & Lillie Douglas; 2 brothers, Lester "Brooks" Williams & Larry "Boney" Williams. She is also preceded in death by her ex-husband, Charles Edward Henderson. She leaves behind to cherish her memories, one son, Jonathan Henderson & one daughter, Jessica Henderson both of CorpusChristi; 4 grandchildren: Darrien Ruth Henderson, Andrew Lamar Henderson, Avery Scott Henderson & Amar Jordan Henderson; brothers & sisters: Charles (Charlotte) Williams; Willie Williams; Lillie Williams; Roy (Lillie) Williams; Diana Williams; Clarice Williams; Betty (Jeff) Lloyd; Eugene (Liz) Williams & Rhonda (Roy) Craig; one daughter-in-law, Rebecca Henderson; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins & friends; special friend Carolyn Poe. Visitation will be held on Sunday August 3, 2008 from 2:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home. Funeral services will be held on Monday August 4, 2008 at 10:00 A.M. at Memory Gardens Funeral Home with interment to follow at Memory Gardens Cemetery. Special thanks to all those who cared for her & called daily. In lieu of flowers, books can be donated to West Oso Elementary in her name. She was dearly loved & appreciated by her 2 children.
