Services for Henry County native Roberta Gomez of Fort Myers Beach, Fla., will be at 11 a.m. Saturday at Ridgeway Funeral Home.
John Dale will officiate. Burial will be in Hillcrest Cemetery.
Visitation is planned 3-8 p.m. Friday and after 9 a.m. Saturday.
Mrs. Gomez, 83, died Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2001, at Baptist Hospital in Miami.
Born in Paris on April 11, 1918, she was the daughter of Benjamin and Nell Shankle Williams, both deceased.
She was married Feb. 17, 1945, to Carlos N. Gomez, who preceded her in death.
A homemaker, Mrs. Gomez lived in Paris until about 1943 when she moved to Michigan.
After attending cosmetology school in the 1940s, she owned and operated a hair salon in Royal Oak, Mich.
She leaves one daughter: Patricia Gomez of Coconut Grove, Fla.; one son: Mario Gomez of Detroit;
One grandchild: Angela (George) Bisbal of Miami; one great-grandchild: Isabella Bisbal of Miami; and
Several cousins in the Williams and Shankle families in Paris.
