Services for Sheila Kay Lofgren were 10:00 a.m., Tues., Nov. 30th, 2010 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. She was laid to rest at Woodlawn Cemetery under the direction of Rice Funeral Service.
Sheila passed away Fri., Nov. 26th, 2010. She was 62.
Born in Hereford, TX to Vernon and Laverne (Gregory) Williams, Sheila grew up and received her education in Vinita where she graduated from high school. Later she earned an associate degree from Rogers State University.
Sheila and childhood sweetheart, Jack Lofgren were married on June 7th, 1967. Three sons blessed their union. In 1976, the family moved to Claremore.
Sheila loved family celebrations; birthdays and holidays were always festive occasions with decorations and special foods. She spent as much time as possible outside, riding four-wheelers, playing with her dogs, fishing, camping, horseback riding or just enjoying nature. She was also a gifted artist and loved to sing.
Beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister and friend, Sheila is survived by her husband, Jack, of their home in Claremore; her children, Rod and Jerry Lofgren of Claremore, and David Lofgren of Tulsa; her grandchildren, Katrina, Nicholas and Tierra; her sister, Karen White and husband, Ben, of Edmond; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents.
Services for Sheila Lofgren will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday, November 30th, 2010 in the Chapel of the Garden at Rice Funeral Service. Burial will follow at Woodlawn Cemetery. Friends may visit at the funeral home on Monday from noon to 8:00 with the family receiving visitors from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. Sheila, a homemaker, passed away Friday, November 26th, 2010. She was 62.
