Evelyn Bearden, 84, of Little Rock, passed away on Wednesday, December 21, 2016. She was born on December 7, 1932 in Center Ridge, AR to the late Vernon and Essie Shipp Williams. She graduated Salutatorian of her class at Center Ridge High School, and went on to work for Southwestern Bell and AT&T for 42 years before retiring. She was an active member of First Baptist Church in Little Rock for many years.
Evelyn is survived by her two daughters, Michele Bearden Forbess and husband, Mark and Monique Bearden Raines and husband, Jack; grandchildren, John Morrison Raines, Katherine Michele Raines, and George Emerson Raines. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Jimmie Bearden; as well as, 6 siblings, and longtime friend, Gene Davis.
Visitation will be held from 4:00-6:00 P.M. on Thursday, December 22, at Roller-Chenal Funeral Home, 13801 Chenal Parkway, Little Rock. A Celebration of Life service will begin at 11:00 A.M. on Friday, December 23, 2016, at First Baptist Church, Little Rock. A Private family burial will be held prior to the service at Mt. Pleasant Cemetery in Cabot, AR.
The family would like to say a special ''thank you'' you Tana, Mary, and Katrina, who spent many hours with mom playing dominos and skip bo as well as offering her great care and friendship.
