Carla was born March 21, 1935 in St. Anthony, Idaho, to Marvin Reginald and Espirence Ellis Christensen. She received her education in the St. Anthony schools and graduated from South Fremont High School.
She married Charles Fred Williams on September 27, 1958 in St. Anthony, ID. They made their home in Sugar City for all of their married life.
Carla spent her life making a home for her husband and her children.
An active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, she had taught Cub Scouts and taught Primary for over 25 years and was a devoted visiting teacher. She was also involved in the Jr. Bowling Leagues.
She loved any excuse to gather her family. Camping on Father's Day; Mother's Day picnics in the snow; Birthday parties with a theme; snow-machine play days, Halloween parties or "just-because days" would bring everyone together.
Carla is survived by her children, Desiree´ Moeller, of Sugar City, Chuck Jr. (Trena) Williams, of St. Anthony, Charlan (Augustin) Lozano, of Rigby, Brett Marvin (Mary Kim) Williams, of Rexburg, and Shaun Charles (Nadia) Williams, of Sugar City; brothers, Ellis (Barbara) Christensen, of Rexburg, and James Lynn (Ivie) Christensen, of St. Anthony; 19 grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren, with two more on the way.
She was preceded in death by her parents and her husband.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 26, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. in the Sugar City 2nd Ward Chapel. The family will receive friends on Monday from 6:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Bert Flamm Mortuary (581 E. 1st N., St,. Anthony) and on Tuesday from 10:00 a.m until 10:45 a.m. at the Church.
Burial will be in the Parker Cemetery.
