Holly B. Gillette, 41, of 4255 Rockwell St. died Sunday at her home following a long illness.

Born in Syracuse, the daughter of Dr. Edward J. and Ruth G. Shea Willett, she attended Houghton College in Houghton.

She served, with her husband, the Rev. John R. Gillette Jr., in Pine Meadows Wesleyan Church and Redfield Wesleyan Church from 1976 to 1983, when they moved to Oswego, where they helped found the Oswego Wesleyan Church. They moved to Hadley in 1989 and served the Hadley-Luzerne Wesleyan Church ever since.

Mrs. Gillette has been a Sunday school teacher for many years and was a member of Women in Ministry of the church. She enjoyed playing the string bass and piano, and was secretary for her husband.

A brother, Daniel S. Willett, died in 1989.

Surviving besides her parents of Syracuse, and her husband are two daughters, Kerensa Ruth Gillette and Audrey Janise Gillette, both of Hadley; a brother, Dr. Thomas Willett of Tucson, Ariz.; a sister, Christine Willett Greenwald of Findley Lake, and several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

A memorial service is 2 p.m. Tuesday at the Corinth Wesleyan Church in Corinth, the Rev. Wil Beers of the Harrington Wesleyan Church in Harrington, Del., officiating.

Burial is Wednesday at the convenience of the family in Fayetteville Cemetery , Fayetteville.
