Tressie Obel Wilfong Andrews, age 86, of Buckhannon, WV, passed away Friday, May 20, 2011 at St. Joseph's Hospital Nursing Care Facility, where she had been a resident for nine months. She was born in Upshur County July 9, 1924, a daughter of the late Boyd and Giselle Beaver Wilfong. She was preceded in death by her husband of 48 years, Oscar M. Andrews. Tressie is survived by three sons, Duane Andrews and wife Pam, Lonnie Andrews and wife Linda and Terry Andrews and wife Teresa all of Buckhannon; one daughter, Hettie Dawe of Vancouver British Columbia; six grandchildren, two step grandchildren and one great-granddaughter; three sisters, Juanita Long of Gaines, WV, Della Simons of Florida and Imogene Groggs of St. Albans, WV. In addition to her parents and husband she was preceded in death by two sisters, Glenna Wilfong and Thresia Bailey; and three brothers, Ruben Wilfong, Glenn Wilfong and infant brother, Harry Wilfong. Tressie was a Methodist and was a member of the Macedonia United Methodist Church. Friends will be received at the Poling-St. Clair Funeral Home Monday, May 23, 2011 from 6-9 PM. Funeral services will be held 10 AM Tuesday at the funeral Home. Burial will follow in the Macedonia Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to the St. Joseph's Nursing Care facility or to St. Joseph's Hospice. Online condolences may be made to the family at www.polingstclair.com.
