Bobby Clifford Wilburn, 89, of Franklin, TN, formerly of Tulsa, passed away on January 31, 2017.
A service celebrating his life will be held at Floral Haven Cemetery on Saturday, February 11th at 11:00am.
Bobby was born on April 12, 1927 in Tulsa, OK to James Clifford and Dorthua (Jordon) Wilburn. He married Betty (Roberts) Wilburn on September 12, 1947. Bobby was an aerospace engineer who worked on projects in the early space program. Later in his career he worked on commercial aircraft. Besides his family, Bobby’s loves included the space program, music and travel.
Surviving Bobby are his sons Stephen Wilburn of Nashville, TN and Michael Wilburn of Wagoner, OK, his beloved granddaughters Kathleen, Margaret, Heather, and his grandson Scott, his seven great grandchildren - Dylan, Jacob, Jace, Dax, Abigail, Margaret and Eli and his sister Barbara.
Bobby was preceded in death by his wife Betty and his sister Francis.
