MRS. NORA CARTER
FREEDOM - Mrs. Nora W. Carter, 73, died Aug. 14 at a Belfast hospital after a brief illness. She was born at Montville April 19, 1899, the daughter of Leon and Mame (Hall) Wiggin. She had lived in Freedom all her life. She was a 50 year member of Dirigo Grange of Freedom, a member of the Ladies Circle of Freedom, member and treasurer of the Waldo County Extension.
She is survived by her husband C. Pemproke Carter of Freedom; one daughter, Mrs. Virginia Hollis of Auburn; two grandchildren. Funeral services will be Wednesday at 2 p.m. at the Rackliffe Funeral Home in Belfast.
