Mildred Rose ‘Millie' Cooper, 74, Rapid City, died Thursday, July 15, 2010 at a local nursing home.
Millie was born in New Underwood, SD to John and Susan (Gillen) Wieser on October 20, 1935. She graduated from Wasta High School and then married Jack Cooper July 18, 1953 in New Underwood. Millie was a devoted wife, mother and grandmother. She loved gardening, antiquing and canning.
She had a tender heart to any stray animal that was found on her doorstep. Most of all, Millie loved a good deal and couldn't pass up a good garage sale.
Loving survivors include her husband, Jack; 2 daughters, Nancy Beka and her husband Charley, Diane Rose Cooper all of Rapid City; 4 grandchildren Brian and Tyler Beka, Cheyenne, WY, Stephanie and Anthony Baris, Syracuse, NY; 2 sisters, Mary Hoehn, Rapid City and Aggie Hause, Ogema, WI.
She was preceded in death by her parents, 5 brothers, Joe, Harold, Gerald, Carl and Clarence Wieser and 2 sisters, Angie Carpenter and Kitty Fenner.




Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m., Tuesday July 20, 2010 at Behrens-Wilson Funeral Home with Rev. Julie Norwood officiating. Interment will follow at Pine Lawn Memorial Park.
