Mary W. Feldweg passed on to a life with God on Saturday March 31, 2007, at home. Her loving husband Ed was at her side, together in the house they built and raised their family. She was 71 years old. She was born on July 25, 1935, in Rochester, NY, the oldest daughter of Henry and Aleeta Wickman. She held a bachelors degree in Early Childhood Education from SUNY New Paltz. She married Edward A. Feldweg on July 27, 1958, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, in Poughkeepsie, NY. Mary was a devoted wife to Ed for 48 years. She built a loving home for her family, filled with flowers and laughter and her ever-optimistic outlook on life. She taught all those who knew her to appreciate the daily gifts of life. We remember her beautiful smile and her loving, happy ways. She was a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, the Martha Circle, the Gretna Garden Club, and a life member of Northern Dutchess Rod and Gun Club. She, along with her husband, loved to garden, grow fruit and Christmas trees, and always enjoyed the natural beauty of the seasonal changes of their back yard. She especially enjoyed the birds and wildlife, she watched from her window and deck. She is survived by her husband Ed, a daughter Anna and husband Keith, of Waltham MA, a son Brent and wife Karen, of Wappingers Falls, NY, and 5 granddaughters she loved dearly. She was also survived by her brother Tom, and wife Joann, of Lake Katrine, NY, her sister Ann and husband Tom, of Panama City Beach, FL., and her sister-in-law Barbara, of Watauga, TX. She also leaves 4 nieces, and many great nieces and nephews. There will be no calling hours. Private interment will be in Schultzville Cemetery. A Memorial Service to celebrate her life will be held on Saturday, April 21, 2007, at St. Johns Lutheran Church, 55 Wilbur Blvd., Poughkeepsie, NY at 11:00 am, with a reception to follow at the church.
