Euvah J. Anthony, 77, of Ames, formerly of Fremont, died Wednesday, Feb. 16, 2011, at Good Samaritan Center in Scribner.
She was born June 18, 1933, in Cozad to John and Ethel (Houchin) Wickersham. She grew up in Cozad. She married Arnold H.H. Anthony on Nov. 24, 1953, in Cozad. After her marriage, the couple lived in several Nebraska communities while her husband worked in road construction building U.S. Highway 30. They then settled in Fremont in 1956. Her husband preceded her in death Feb. 18, 2002.
She was a member of First Christian Church in Fremont and Veterans of Foreign Wars Auxiliary of Post 854 of Fremont.
Survivors include: a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Lonnie Bertelsen of Ames; two sons and daughter-in-law, Ron Anthony of Wanatah, Ind., and John and Debbie Anthony of Fremont; a sister, Helen Yeutter of Lexington; 15 grandchildren and 21 great-grandchildren.
She also was preceded in death by two sisters, two brothers, a granddaughter and two great-grandchildren.
The funeral will be 10:30 a.m. Saturday at Moser Memorial Chapel in Fremont with the Rev. Dr. Nicki McIntyre officiating. Visitation will be from 2-8 p.m. today and 9-10:30 a.m. Saturday with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m. today, all at the funeral home. Burial will be in Union Cemetery, south of Cedar Bluffs.
