CHARLES B. WHITESTONE (69)

"Hap"
Died early Christmas morning, December 25, 2015 at Alexandria Hospital. Hap was a graduate of Archmere Academy, DE and Old Dominion University, VA, and a Vietnam veteran. He was a man of deep faith and lived a giving life. He was a passionate giver of those needing food, cooking and serving dinner at the Carpenter''s Shelter for over 20 years, and of those needing shelter. Hap volunteered for the Youth Work Camp at Blessed Sacrament for many years, and completed over 25 houses in Biloxi, MS with Habitat for Humanity after Hurricane Katrina. He also was a member of the Blessed Sacrament folk choir for 30 years.

He is survived by his wife, Ellen; sons C.J. (Katie), and Anthony (Leia), and grandchildren, the lights of his life, Gracie and Logan.

A Funeral Mass will be held at Blessed Sacrament Catholic Church, 1427 West Braddock Road, Alexandria, Virginia on Monday, January 18, 2016 at 10 A.M. Reception to follow. Interment private.
