Frances Edith Whitener Belcher, 83, was a daughter to the late Doil and Pearl Jordan Whitener. She was predeceased by her husband, John Earl Belcher; her brother, Harold Whitener; sisters, Clara W. Atkins and Yvonnie W. Dedmon.
Edith was a devoted mother, wife, dog owner and daughter caring for both of her aging parents in the last years of their lives. Much of her life centered around church activities, possessing a beautiful singing voice and a talent for teaching Sunday school as a member of Gastonia Foursquare Gospel Church, Gastonia.
Interment in Gaston Memorial Park.
