Nicholas M Whiteley "Nick", of Hampstead, NC, died Tuesday, August 28, 2012.
He was born on July 17, 1994, the son of David and Christine Whiteley. Surviving in addition to his parents is his brother and sister, maternal grandmother, paternal grandparents and great-grandmother and by many other family members in New York and North Carolina.
Nick was a beautiful child who made everyone love him with his sweet smile. He grew up in Voorheesville, NY where he played sports with the many friends he made in school.
Nick moved to North Carolina with his family in 2009 and was excited to be near the beach. Nick graduated from Topsail High School and enjoyed surfing and going to the beach with his friends.
The family will receive friends from 12 to 1 pm Friday, August 31, 2012 at Andrews Mortuary Hampstead Chapel. A funeral service will follow at 1:00 pm with Rev. John Durbin officiating.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorials in Nick's memory be made to the Pender County Humane Society, P.O. Box 626, Burgaw, NC 28425 or to Good Shepherd Ministries of Wilmington, 811 Martin St., Wilmington, NC 28401. Obituary information provided by Andrews Mortuary.
