Funeral services for Cleon B. White, 85, were held at 2 p.m. Saturday in Catchings Chapel. Mr. White, a retired employee of the Illinois Central Gulf Railroad, died Friday in McComb Extended Care and Nursing Home following a long illness. Born July 26, 1892, he was a native of Pike County and made his home at 211 South Chestnut St. in McComb prior to entering the nursing home.
He was preceded in death by a son, C.B. White Jr. Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Alice Reeves White; two sons, James White and John P. White, both of Jackson; two daughters, Mrs. Mary Cleo Colmer of Baton Rouge, La., Mrs. Lena Lou
Kleinpeter of Osyka; one sister, Mrs. Tennie Glee Jones of Jackson; 11 grandchildren and eight great- grandchildren.
The Rev. Jimmy McGee officiated. Burial was in Hollywood Cemetery with Catchings Funeral Home in charge of arrangements.
