---Donna I. (Milliman) White, age 89 of Tekonsha, died Friday, February 27, 1998 at Oaklawn Hospital after a short illness.
---Mrs. White was born February 13, 1909 in Leroy Township to Clare and Martha (Burkhardt) Milliman. She was a graduate of Tekonsha High School and attended County Normal. She also later attended Western Michigan University. She taught rural school, then worked at Kellogg Company in Battle Creek for 14 years.
---She was married to Glenn J. White on August 14, 1939 in Perrysburg, Ohio. He preceded her in death on January 15, 1991.
---She and her husband founded Glenn White Heating and Cooling which they operated from their home on E. Michigan Avenue in Battle Creek for 40 years until they retired in 1980. The couple resided in Battle Creek for 40 years; until their retirement when they moved to Tekonsha. They also spent winters in Jensen Beach, Fla. for 30 years.
---Mrs. White was an avid outdoorswoman, enjoying golf, fishing and hunting with her husband. They also loved animals and wildlife. She was always adventurous, skiing while in her 50's, and operating a three-wheeled ATV in her 70's. She was a past member of the Audubon society, the Anglers Club in Florida, and had been active in a trap shooters club in Marshall. She and her husband, Glenn were truly best fiends as well as husband and wife, and enjoyed the same activities together through their lives.
---Surviving are her sister-in-law, Harriette E. Milliman of Marshall; nieces, Hannah E. Trine and Nancy L. Foust both of Marshall; nephew, Donald D. Milliman of Tekonsha; cousin, Kathryn Barney of Florida; special friends, Ed and Donna Groholski of Burlington; and several grandnieces and grandnephews. She was also preceded in death by her brother, Kenneth N. Milliman.
---Friends may call on Monday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at the Craig K. Kempf Funeral Home in Marshall where family will be present to receive friends from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Dexter Lake Church of God, 35 Evanston Street in Battle Creek on Tuesday at 11 a.m. with Rev. Leon Rayburn officiating. Entombment will follow in Floral Lawn Memorial Gardens in Battle Creek. Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Visiting Nurse Services of Southwest Michigan or Calhoun County Humane Society. Assistance with memorials is available at the funeral home.
