Beatrice Ruth White was the fifth child (youngest girl) born to Charles Franklin and Kate White in Rocky Ridge, Alabama. She was the only one of her siblings to graduate high school. At age 19, she married Charles Edward Crumpton in Shelby County and soon became pregnant with their first child, who was still-born on December 3, 1938. In July of 1940, the couple had their first healthy child, a girl named Charlotte, and seven years later, their son Charles Ronald was born. Bea and Charles were divorced in 1950, and Bea eventually re-married in August of 1959 to Frank Faulkner. The two remained happily married in Rocky Ridge until her death on June 26, 1983 at the age of 64. She was survived by her husband, Frank; daughter, Charlotte (Jim) LaRue; son, Ron (Cindy) Faulkner; two brothers, Harold Samuel White and Harland Landy White Sr.; and one sister, Bessie Wilmer Wyatt. Bea was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church, and her funeral was held there on June 29, 1983. Burial followed in Croft Acton cemetery.
