She was born on Dec. 13, 1910, to Peter and Frances (Sloan) White in Perry's Cove, Newfoundland, Canada, where she attended village schools. In 1935, she married John Duggan in Brooklyn. Ms.Duggan was a housewife.
On the East End, she was a catechist and member of the Rosary Society at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport. For 27 years she volunteered as a cashier at the Town of Southold Human Resources Center.
Family said she enjoyed collecting seashells and stones as well as doing work for charities. Her family also said she was much loved and will be missed by them and her friends.
Predeceased by her husband in June 1978, Ms.Duggan is survived by her daughter, Margaret Duggan; her foster children, Margaret Fitzpatrick and Michael Flammery, and their nine children and nine grandchildren. She was predeceased by her siblings, Ted, Will and Cicely White, Magdalene Callender and Angela Layman.
Visitation was held on Feb. 2, at Horton-Mathie Funeral Home in Greenport. A funeral service was held on Feb. 3 at St. Agnes R.C. Church in Greenport, Father Thomas Murray officiating. Interment followed at St. Agnes Cemetery in Greenport.
