Stella Inez Atchley, 85, of Wright City Oklahoma, passed away, February 26, 2017, at the Baptist Village of Hugo in Hugo, Oklahoma. Mama Nez was born April 17, 1931, the daughter of Zee Whisenhunt and Deborah Eeds Whisenhunt.
She was a member of the Assembly of God Church in Battiest. She was the rock of the family. She was a feisty lady and enjoyed working in her yard with her flowers. Her children and her grandchildren were more important to her than life itself.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Zee and Deborah Whisenhunt; husband, Kenneth Atchley, Sr.; sons; Mark LeRoy Atchley and Kenneth Atchley, Jr.; daughter, Lois Jane Dyer; grandchildren; Marshall Dayle Atchley, and Christina Inez Atchley; and four sisters.
Her memory will be forever cherished by her daughter, Gayle Holleman and husband, Troy of Wright City, Oklahoma; brother Donnie Whisenhunt and wife, Carol of Gutherie, Oklahoma; sister, Bonnie Bulwin of Oklahoma; 9 grandchildren, 23 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great grandchildren
A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, March 2, 2017 at 10:00 AM at the Battiest Assembly of God in Battiest, Oklahoma with the Dave Rogers and Bro. Steven Walls officiating. Interment will follow at the County Line Cemetery in Pickens, Oklahoma.
