"THREE IN FAMILY DEAD
Some time since we recorded the death of three brothers who had died in the defense of the country, within a few weeks of each other. We have the sad duty of mentioning a similar case, except that there was some months between their deaths. We allude to Messrs. Whiddon, sons of William Whiddon, of this county. Last year we assisted in placing the remains of one of these y oung men in the grave, in NW Virginia, who had volunteered in the first Reg. A few months afterwards two other brothers entered the service and both of these are now dead. Matthew, David, and Green , three as good soldiers, no doubt, as ever left out country. May heaven comfort the afflicted parents,....
