Ray Robert Wherry, age 91, of Warren, Arkansas died Sunday, October 22, at Bradley County Medical Center. He was born June 19, 1915 in Bradley County, Arkansas a son of the late Robert Harvey Wherry and Julia Akens Wherry. He was a retired farmer, past employee of the Bradley Lumber Company and a member of Westside Baptist Church. He married Jewell Williams Wherry on December 10, 1938 and she died January 25, 2006. Surviving are 2 sons Larry Wherry, Warren, Ark. and Kenneth Ray Wherry, Wilmington, Ill; a daughter Beverly Forrest, Warren, Ark. 10 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren and 5 great-great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by 3 brothers Carl Wherry, Rufus Wherry and Levi Wherry. 4 sisters, Rowena Lyons, Lavern Bryant, Fannie Wheeler and Cornelia Baker. Funeral services were 10:00am Monday, October 23, 2006 Frazer's Chapel with Rev. Billy George West officiating. Janice Sullivan was organist and soloist was Billy Gene West. Burial was in Ebenezer Cemetery by Frazer's Funeral Home. Active pallbearers were Wade Wherry, Rob Forrest, Johnny Williams, John Daniel Williams, Joshua Savage and William Bolls.
