Amos Gilman Weston, Son of Robert S. and Sarah (Gilman) Weston.
Married Hattie Diadema Chamberlin on January 12, 1865.
Father of William Herman Weston.
Passed away in Red Wing, Minn., buried in Union Cemetery, Laconia, New Hampshire.
Amos Gilman (Weston), b. Oct. 29, 1846, in Manchester; studied medicine, and took degrees both in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania., and Cincinnati, Ohio; practised his profession, and kept a drug store, first at Pittsburg, Penn., and afterwards at Yellow Springs, Ohio; health failing, he repaired to Minnesota, and there d., at Red Wing, of consumption, Feb. 16, 1867, ae. 204.
"He is not dead, but sleepeth." He was of a historical turn of mind, and had made some valuable collections for this history, especially respecting the Indian fortifications at Union liridge. He m. Hattie D. Chamberlain, of Yellow Springs, Jan., 1805, and left a child : 1. Willie Hermon, b. Sept. 22, 1866; now (1876) with his mother (a teacher), in Oskaloosa, Iowa.
