Reba Landtroop, 87, of Michigan City passed away on Thursday, April 18, 2013 at her home in Michigan City.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday at 1:00 p.m. at the Root Funeral Home. Burial will follow in Greenwood Cemetery. Viewing will be held on Monday from 4:00 - 8:00 p.m. and on Tuesday from 12 Noon - 1:00 p.m. at the Root Funeral Home.
Reba was born April 18, 1913 in Athens, Alabama to the late Isaac A and Mary F. (Hardaway) West.
On December 1, 1956 in Michigan City she married Adrian M. "Buddy" Landtroop. who passed away on April 7, 1995.
Surviving is one son: Ronald Landtroop of Michigan City; one granddaughter: Jennifer (Ramey) Boteler of Michigan City; two great grandchildren: Kirstie and Elise; and many loving nieces, nephews and geat-nieces and great-nephws.
Preceding her in death are six brothers and sisters: Elzria Adams, George West, Armenda Brigman, Cecil West, Elvis West and Delwood L. West.
Reba attended Temple Baptist Church and loved spending time outside and was always on the run. She was a "mom" to many and was always willing to help anyone. In her spare time she enjoyed shopping and family gatherings were her life. Loved by many, missed by all.
