Mr. Charles Edgar West, age 86 of West Haven, beloved husband to the late Angelina Pecora West, passed away at home on Monday, December 6, 2010 surrounded by his loving family. The son of the late William E. and Caroline Mathias West, Charles was born on June 1, 1924 in Bridgeport. Prior to his retirement in 1989, he was an electrical engineer for UI. He was the father of Peter W. West of West Haven, Jane E. Whipple of KY, the late Grace W. Perdew, Charlene Jones of Milford and Kathleen A. Paquet of St. Croix. Charles is also survived by his cherished grandchildren, Andrew and Charles Eamiello, Patricia Brandenburg, Jennifer Johnson, Lauren Foss, Angela Serrano, Sharon and Andrew Nicolas, Delia Hodgeman, Jesse West and Jaimee O'Donnell, many great grandchildren, a sister Doris Kinsman and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by two sisters, Dorothy Connors and Marilyn Holvenstock. Charles will be loved and remembered always. A prayer service will take place on Saturday, December 11th at 10 a.m. at the Cody-White Funeral Home, 107 Broad Street on the Green, Milford. Burial will follow at St. Mary Cemetery, Milford.
