Nathel P. Alspach, 95, passed away in Sandpoint, Idaho on Wednesday, September 26, 2007. Nathel was born in Casey County, Kentucky on Dec. 18, 1911 the daughter of John and Margaret Wesley. The family moved, from Kentucky, in 1918 and she attended the Farmin School and Sandpoint High School. She married Leslie Alspach on Sept. 1, 1951 and they made their home in the Colburn/Culver area.

She enjoyed, supported, and worked in her commitment to the community. She was a longtime member of the Oden Busy Bees, joining in 1953; the Iris Club, raising award-winning Iris, receiving many other awards and ribbons. She served as a fair superintendent in the women's and 4-H departments, and worked on the election board at the Oden counting room until they went to automatic machine counting.

She was an avid bowler starting at the Eagles Bowling Alley, then bowled at the Sandpoint Bowl at 4th and Oak, and continued to bowl at the present bowling location on Division Street. She bowled into her late 80's on the Wednesday nigh women's league, Thursday women's league, Sunday mixed league, and the Monday Senior league. She also kept score for the Junior Bowling League on Saturdays. For many years she was a member of the Bonner General Hospital Auxiliary.

She is survived by 2 daughters Charlene (and Jerry) Fitzpatrick of Sandpoint, ID; Lougene (and Gene) Murray of Coeur d'Alene, ID; 8 grandchildren Lynn Fitzpatrick of Coeur d'Alene, ID; George Fitzpatrick of Elma, WA; Tim Fitzpatrick of Sandpoint, ID; Cherry (and Mike) Lane of Sandpoint, ID; Pat (and Pam) Murray of Allyn, WA; Mike (and Deneil) Murray of Bellevue, WA; Dianne Paff of Spokane Valley, WA; Rick (and Diane) Murray of Coeur d'Alene, ID. 14 grandchildren and 4 great great grandchildren also survive.

Her parents and her husband preceded her in death.

Funeral services will be conducted at 11:00 AM, Saturday, October 6th, in Coffelt's Funeral Chapel. Dale Coffelt will officiate with interment following in Pinecrest Memorial Park. Memorials may be made to the Oden Community Hall, % Mary Stevens 882 Lower Pack River Rd., Sandpoint, Idaho 83864 or to a charity of your choice
