The Niles democrat carried a death notice for Emmeline (Emma)Flanagan on 16 Sep 1882and it reads: "Mrs. Emma Flannegan. of Bertrand township, died on the 5th of this month in the 29th year of her age." The Niles Mirror also carried a death notice for Emmeline on 13 Sep 1882 and it reads: "Mrs. Emma, wife of Peter Flannegan, of Bertrand townsip, died on the 5th inst., age 29 years. She leaves two children."
