Faye Evelyn Dubbs, 93, Altoona, formerly of Juniata, died Oct. 2, 2013, at UPMC Altoona.
She was born in Hollidaysburg (Seldom Seen), daughter of the late John and Nellie (McIntyre) Wertz. She married Leslie Dubbs, who preceded her in death.
Surviving are two children: Leslie Jr. (Jenny) of Albuquerque, N.M., and Edith Cole (David) of Powell, Ohio; three grandchildren: Brad and Beth Dubbs and Joanna Cole; three great-grandchildren: Andrew and Kate Dubbs and Jayden Wampler; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by eight sisters: Lorma, Esther, Verna, Monica, Edythe, Marian, Thelma and Helen; four brothers: Chester, Howard, Raymond and Ira; and a special nephew and niece: Paul Watters and Florine Fiore.
Faye attended Hollidaysburg High School and was a homemaker. She was a member of Juniata United Methodist Church. She was an avid bowler and many times was Bowler of the Week. She enjoyed her family, pinochle games and crossword puzzles.
Friends will be received from 10 to 11 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 15, 2013, at The Stevens Mortuary Inc., 1421 Eighth Ave., Altoona. A funeral service will follow at 11 a.m. in Stevens Memorial Chapel by Pastor Brent Salsgiver. Interment will be at Rose Hill Cemetery.
