HEBER CITY - Helen W. Averett joined her loving Heavenly Father and childhood family Monday August 11, 2003 in Heber, UT.
She was born June 13, 1920 to Charles Homer and Helen T. Wentz in Provo, UT. Helen married Floyd Jenkins July 14, 1941. He died July 20, 1948. She married Reed Averett May 18, 1953 in Heber UT. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served in many positions but loved teaching little children most. Helen was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. Her family was always blessed with the gifts of her hands. She baked, sewed, knitted, quilted and tried most anything that needed done.
She is survived by her devoted husband, Reed Averett; three sons, Charles J. Jenkins (Sharon), serving an LDS mission in Buenos Aires, Argentina, Don W. Jenkins (Robyn), El Cajon, CA, F. Peter Jenkins (Tina), Mesa, AZ; daughter Sue A. Loertscher (Kim), Midway, UT; 22 grandchildren; and 29 great-grandchildren.

Services Tues. Aug 19, 11 a.m. Heber 7th LDS Ward chapel, 240 E. 400 S. Friends may call Mon. 6-8 p.m. Olpin-Hoopes Funeral Home, Heber, and at the church one hour prior to services Tues. Burial, Heber City Cemetery.
