SYRACUSE -- Mary Jane Neff, 92, died Wednesday (March 17, 2010) at her residence on C.R. 50. She was formerly of Front Street, Syracuse.
She was born to Andrew J. and Stella Mae (Brady) Welty on April 19, 1917. On April 3, 1937, in Tyner, she married Orville Clyde Neff. He died April 23, 1990.
Surviving are three daughters, Donna Null of Syracuse, Sheryl (Larry) Stabler of Warsaw and Deanna Ott of Syracuse; one son, Herbert L. Neff of Syracuse; two sisters, Clara Belle (Robert) Hartman of Milford and Ethel Elliott of New Paris; one brother, Willard (Lois) Welty of Goffstown, N.H.; 20 grandchildren; 32 great-grandchildren; and 22 great-great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband; infant daughter Mona Lou Neff; sister Mae Bickel; brothers William "Jake" Weldy, Andy Welty and infant Josiah Albert Welty; and two sons-in-law, Richard Ott and James Null.
Mary Jane worked as an inspector at Anderson Bolling, Goshen, and also worked at Smoker Craft, New Paris. She was a member of the Peoples Bible Church.
Visitation will be from 1 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. today at Rieth-Rohrer-Ehret Funeral Home, 311 S. Main St., Goshen. The service will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home. Burial will be in Oakridge Cemetery, Goshen.
