SYCAMORE - Dolores M. Weinandy of rural Tiffin, died at her home at 7:45 a.m. Wednesday, June 18, 2003. She was 58. Born in Tiffin on Aug. 4, 1944, she was a daughter of William and Angela (Schletter) Renninger. She married Robert E. Weinandy on April 18, 1964 in Tiffin. He survives. Also surviving are two sons, Michael and Dan Weinandy, both of rural Tiffin; a daughter, Brenda Parker, McCutchenville; six grandchildren, Sarah Parker, Carson, Tess, Nathan, Brooke and Allyson Weinandy; five brothers, Bill Renninger, Lyman, S. C.; Arthur "Skip" Renninger, Genoa; Tom Renninger, Tiffin; Ralph Renninger, Powell; and Tim Renninger; and two sisters, Shirley Shipper, Chesaning, Mich., and Joanne Elchert, Tiffin. Mrs. Weinandy was a former employee of American Greetings. She was a homemaker and also helped on her family's farm. She was a member of St. Nicholas Catholic Church in Frenchtown. Mrs. Weinandy also as a member of the McCutchenville Volunteer Fire Department Ladies Auxiliary. She was a certified volunteer eagle watcher, was a former Mercy Hospital volunteer, 4-H adviser and member of the Melmore Mother's Club. Mrs. Weinandy's hobbies included eagle and bird watching, gardening and growing sweet corn on her family's farm. She also gave presentations about eagles to local organizations. The funeral will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at St. Nicholas Catholic Church with the Rev. Conrad Sutter officiating. Burial will be in St. Nicholas Cemetery. A Christian wake service will be at 8:45 p.m. Friday at Walton-Moore Funeral Home in Sycamore. Visitation will be Friday from 2-9 p.m. at the funeral home. Memorials may be made to Community Hospice Care, the McCutchenville Volunteer Fire Department Auxiliary, Financial Assistance for Cancer Treatment or Back to the Wild.
