MRS CELIA E. TISSOT, 80, died at noon today at the residence of her daughter, Mrs. Willard Hollinger of 901 17th Street SW, following an illness of 10 days.
She was one of 10 children of the Wehrly family, a pioneer family in this section of Ohio. They came to the United States from Switzerland in 1827 and settled in Calmoutier in Wayne County following a 6 weeks journey by sail boat across the Atlantic Ocean.
Besides Mrs. Hollinger, Mrs Tissot is survived by 4 sons; Albert of Hollywood Fla; Arthur of RD 1, Massillon; and Milford and Samuel Tissot of Massillon; a brother, C. A. Wehrly of New York City; 10 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren.
The funeral will be held Tuesday at 4pm at the Gordon Shaidnagle Hollinger Funeral Home. The Rev. W. Osborne Keeler, pastor of the Grace Evangelical and Reformed Church, of which she was a member, will officiate.
Interment will be made in Rose Hill Memorial Park.
