Jo Anne Coan
Jo Anne Weems Coan, age 68, of Muscle Shoals, Ala., died Tuesday, April 25, 2006. Visitation will be Thursday, April 27, 2006, from 6-8 p.m., at Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia. Her funeral service will be Friday, April 28, 2006, at 2 p.m., in the funeral home chapel, with Billy Weems officiating. Burial will follow in Glendale Cemetery.
Jo Anne was a Colbert County native and a member of Leighton Baptist Church. She was a retired U.S. Postal Service clerk. She was preceded in death by her parents, William Percy and Bertha Leona Weems; her brother, Buddy Weems; and sisters, Joyce Beaver and Elizabeth Posey.
Jo Anne was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, daughter and sister. She loved her family and the greatest joy in her life was her four grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband, Troy Coan, of Muscle Shoals; sons, Bradley Coan and wife, Julie, of Leighton, Bryan Coan and wife, Tammy, of Muscle Shoals; sisters, Helen Brown, Maureen (Dean) Raney, Christine Crowden and Sandy Wood; her four grandchildren, Ashley, Jeremy, Dustin and Michaela Coan.
Pallbearers are John Flanagan, Clark McCormack, Gene Brown, Charles Frost, Gaylon Wood and Ronnie Beaver.
Morrison Funeral Home, of Tuscumbia, is directing.
